Authorities are searching for a driver who killed a 31-year-old mother in South Carolina.

Deputies found Dané Josephine Waddell dead on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. The body was in a shopping center at 369 Whitney Road. Officials pronounced her dead at 3:35 a.m. in Spartanburg County. Police believe a vehicle struck and dragged her before fleeing the scene.

Investigation Into Hit-and-Run
