Prince William and Princess Kate are preparing to move their family into Forest Lodge, a grand mansion in Windsor Great Park. The eight-bedroom home, worth around £16 million, is expected to be their “forever home,” even after William becomes King.

Reports say two families living in cottages beside the estate were asked to leave earlier this summer. “They were not expecting it,” a source revealed. “Those houses are very close to the lodge, and the royals wouldn’t want just anyone living there.”

The couple, with children George, 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, 7, currently live at Adelaide Cottage nearby. While charming, it is modest compared to Forest Lodge, which boasts a ballroom, tennis court, and sweeping grounds.

Royal insiders say William and Kate want a “fresh start” after recent family struggles, including King Charles and Kate’s cancer diagnoses. The move is being privately funded, with no extra cost to taxpayers.
