The palace confirmed that the 46-year-old daughter of King Maha Vajiralongkorn is receiving “continuous” treatment for a severe blood infection. Doctors are using medication, antibiotics, and medical equipment to stabilize her blood pressure and support kidney and lung function.

Princess Bajrakitiyabha, known as “Princess Bha,” collapsed in December 2022 during a military dog training session. She was later diagnosed with serious heart problems and has remained unconscious in Bangkok’s King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital since then. “She remains in a state of low blood pressure, requiring continuous treatment,” the palace said in its statement.

Educated in Thailand, Britain, and the United States, the princess has served with the United Nations and championed women’s rights in prisons. She was also a senior member of her father’s royal guard.
