Tragedy struck Minneapolis when two children were killed and 17 others injured in a church shooting. The attack happened during mass at Annunciation Catholic School, leaving parents and students terrified.
The shooter was identified as Robin Westman, 23, a transgender former student whose mother once worked at the school. Armed with a rifle, shotgun, and pistol, Westman opened fire through stained glass windows before turning the gun on themselves.

Westman’s uncle, former Kentucky lawmaker Bob Heleringer, expressed his heartbreak. “I wish he had shot me instead of innocent schoolchildren,” he told reporters. Calling it an “unspeakable tragedy,” Heleringer said he was praying for the families.
The FBI is investigating the massacre as both domestic terrorism and a hate crime against Catholics. Principal Matthew DeBoer mourned, saying, “We lost two angels today.” Parents, students, and teachers gathered at vigils, calling the staff “heroes” for shielding children from bullets.
This heartbreaking attack leaves one haunting question: How can communities truly keep their children safe in schools and churches?
