Man labeled a hero after saving missing boy stuck 100ft in air on monorail track

Visitors at Hersheypark, Pennsylvania, were stunned when a missing child was spotted walking alone on the monorail tracks, more than 100 feet above the ground.

The boy, reported missing around 5 p.m., was seen 20 minutes later wandering the rails. Onlookers shouted in panic as the child appeared distressed. One brave man quickly climbed onto a nearby roof and lifted the boy to safety.

Social media exploded with praise. “This man is a hero,” one user wrote. Another added, “Give this man free tickets for life.” A third declared, “This is America at its best.”

Hersheypark confirmed the ride was closed at the time and that the boy was unharmed. “We are grateful for the vigilance of our guests and the swift response of our team,” the park said.

This frightening moment could have ended in tragedy, but instead, it became a story of courage. It’s a reminder that ordinary people can do extraordinary things.

Would you step in if you saw a child in danger?
