Burning Man attendee reported missing days after man found dead in ‘pool of blood’

A shocking tragedy struck the Burning Man festival after a man was found dead in a “pool of blood.” The discovery happened on August 30 in Nevada’s Black Rock City, during the symbolic burning of the wooden effigy.

Authorities described the victim as a white male, 35–40 years old, about six feet tall with short brown hair. “This was a heinous crime against another human being,” the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office stated. They confirmed the investigation is being treated as a homicide.

Meanwhile, Russian national Vadim Kruglov, 37, was also reported missing by friends at the same festival. His belongings were left at camp, and he has not been seen since August 29. “We are very concerned and hope he will be found soon,” his companion wrote online.

Burning Man organizers stressed that “the safety and well-being of our community are paramount.” Still, this tragic death has left festival-goers shaken.
