What happens next after ‘God’s influencer’ teen born in UK is made saint

Carlo Acutis, a London-born teen known as “God’s influencer,” has officially become Britain’s first millennial saint. The 15-year-old computer genius died in 2006 from leukemia but left a powerful spiritual legacy.

Carlo created a multilingual website documenting Eucharistic miracles, inspiring millions worldwide. His body rests in Assisi, where pilgrims visit his glass tomb. Pope Leo XIV canonised him during a grand Mass at St. Peter’s Square, calling his life a “masterpiece dedicated to God.”

Two miracles were key to his sainthood. A sick boy in Brazil recovered after touching Carlo’s relic, and a young woman in Italy healed from severe injuries after prayers. “The greatest risk in life is to waste it,” the pope told worshippers.

Now, strands of Carlo’s hair and other relics will be shared with churches and schools worldwide, allowing the faithful to feel closer to him. His story reminds young and old alike to use life for purpose, faith, and hope. Do you believe modern saints can inspire today’s generation?
