A heartbreaking double tragedy struck one family when a father collapsed at his own son’s funeral.
Norman White, 61, known lovingly as “Nosha,” died as his son David’s coffin was carried into St Bede’s Chapel in Middlesbrough on August 21. David, 41, had passed away weeks earlier on July 31, the same date that marked ten years since the memorial of his stillborn twin sons.

David’s sister, Chantelle, said the family is in “pure shock.” She added, “It’s been so traumatic, you couldn’t write it. My kids are devastated. The whole place just isn’t the same without him.”
Despite struggles with addiction, David was remembered as a devoted father and deeply loved. “He had a heart as big as the ocean. He is so missed,” Chantelle shared. She also described her father as a private but popular man who inspired others through boxing.

This family’s grief is unimaginable, losing both father and son so suddenly. It leaves us all to wonder—can heartbreak itself truly claim a life?
