The FBI has confirmed shocking new details about the weapon and ammunition used in Charlie Kirk’s assassination. The 31-year-old activist was shot in the neck on September 10 while answering a question about gun violence at Utah Valley University.
Investigators recovered a .30 caliber hunting rifle from a wooded area near the scene. According to reports, the bullets had engraved messages linked to transgender and antifascist ideology. A spent cartridge and a magazine with three unspent rounds were also found. “We have good video footage,” Utah Public Safety Chief Beau Mason said, urging the public to remain alert.

Special Agent Robert Bohls described the rifle as a “high-powered bolt-action” weapon. Authorities believe the shooter, dressed in black and wearing aviator sunglasses, was a male of college age. Footprints and palm prints were also discovered near the area.
Kirk’s assassination has left the nation shaken. As one witness recalled, “It happened seconds after he spoke about gun violence.” The manhunt continues, with more than 130 tips already received.
