Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer, Tyler Robinson, reportedly had a fixation with furry culture and gamer memes. His live-in partner, 22-year-old Lance Twiggs — a transgender gamer — once posted, “We are riding with Biden on this glorious subreddit.”

Twiggs, who is transitioning and grew up in a conservative Christian family, was confirmed by Utah Gov. Spencer Cox as Robinson’s romantic partner. Friends said Twiggs was “aghast” after the shooting and immediately gave investigators Robinson’s online messages. “That’s what happened? Oh my God, no. Here are all the messages,” Twiggs reportedly told police.

Investigators also discovered Robinson’s online account on FurAffinity, a site known for sexualized animal art, and noted the bullet casing engraved with the meme phrase “Notices bulge, OwO what’s this?”

Neighbors say Robinson was shy in high school but had recently left the Mormon church and embraced radical ideologies. He faces charges of aggravated murder and could face the death penalty. Should online extremism be tracked more closely before it leads to violence?
