Brigitte Macron will provide scientific and photographic evidence to prove she is a woman, her lawyer revealed. The French First Lady and President Emmanuel Macron are suing American commentator Candace Owens for spreading false claims that Brigitte was born male.
Attorney Tom Clare said the couple found the allegations “extremely upsetting.” He explained that expert testimony and personal photographs would be presented in court under strict rules. “It is incredibly upsetting to think you have to put this type of proof forward,” Clare said.

Owens has repeatedly claimed Brigitte was born “Jean-Michel Trogneux,” her older brother’s name, and transitioned at 30. The conspiracy, first spread by French bloggers in 2021, accused Brigitte of hiding her past and never giving birth to her children.
The Macrons’ lawsuit describes Owens’ campaign as “outlandish, defamatory, and far-fetched fictions” meant to humiliate them worldwide. “Our hope is this lawsuit will set the record straight,” the couple said.
Should world leaders be forced to fight such personal battles in public courtrooms?
