The evangelical community is mourning the sudden loss of Pastor Voddie Baucham Jr., who died at 56. Known for his bold sermons and unwavering convictions, Baucham’s passing comes just days after he honored the late Charlie Kirk.
Born in 1969, the pastor was celebrated worldwide for his deep faith and powerful teaching. Founders Ministries announced his death with moving words from Psalm 116:15: “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” They described him as having “entered into his rest and the immediate presence of the Savior.”

Baucham’s journey of faith began in college, transforming him from skeptic to preacher, teacher, and author. He served as Dean at the African Christian University in Zambia, where he and his family lived as missionaries. Beyond the pulpit, he even opened Zambia’s first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy, showing his passion for both ministry and community life.
“Voddie’s legacy is one of courage, faith, and truth,” said Founders Ministries. His wife, children, and grandchildren now carry his torch. His passing leaves a deep void, but his message lives on. How will you remember his bold faith and lasting influence?
