Fans were left heartbroken after Grey’s Anatomy star Eric Dane, 52, was seen in a wheelchair battling ALS. The actor, best known as “McSteamy,” revealed his diagnosis earlier this year and now appears visibly frail. When asked what message he had for fans, Dane simply said: “Keep the faith, man.”

ALS, also called Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a rare and incurable condition that weakens muscles and affects mobility. Dane has spoken openly about the impact on his body, sharing in June that he had only “one functioning arm.” He admitted: “It’s sobering. I may lose my left hand in a few months.”
Despite the devastating diagnosis, loved ones say he is focusing on family, faith, and positivity. “He doesn’t want people grieving him—he just wants them present and happy,” one insider revealed. His estranged wife Rebecca Gayheart recently called off their divorce, and together they continue raising their daughters, Billie and Georgia.
Eric Dane’s courage reminds us how fragile life can be. Would you choose fear—or faith—if tomorrow was not promised?
