Beloved cheerleader, 18, will die TODAY after she was shot by stranger at party

Eighteen-year-old Kimber Mills should’ve been cheering under Friday night lights — not saying goodbye today. The beloved Alabama cheerleader will be taken off life support after being shot at a weekend party, her family confirmed with breaking hearts.

“She wanted to help people,” her sister Ashley Mills said. “She dreamed of being a nurse. And now… she’s helping others one last time.” Kimber’s organs will be donated during an honor walk at the University of Alabama Hospital, where loved ones will line the halls to say farewell.

Police say Kimber was one of four people shot near Palmerdale. The suspected gunman, 27-year-old Steven Whitehead, reportedly targeted another girl — someone Kimber didn’t even know. “We shouldn’t be burying our little sister,” Ashley wept. “It’s supposed to go oldest to youngest — not youngest first.”

As the sun sets tonight, a small town will fall silent for a girl who gave her final gift — life itself.
💔 Fly high, Kimber. You’ll never be forgotten.
