My baby started dying days after birth… doctors told me I needed to make a dangerous decision to save his life

When Ashlynn Moss brought baby Luka home, everything seemed perfect — until his skin turned yellow. Days later, doctors delivered the words no mother should hear: “His liver is failing.”

Little Luka had a rare disease called biliary atresia, blocking the bile ducts and slowly poisoning his tiny body. At just 18 days old, he had surgery — but it didn’t work. “You could smell how sick he was,” Ashlynn said. “I was terrified I’d lose him.”

When doctors said Luka needed a transplant, tests revealed the perfect match — his own mother. Just seven months after her C-section, Ashlynn bravely went under the knife. “I knew it had to be me,” she said. “He was my miracle, and I’d do anything to keep him alive.”

Today, both are thriving. Luka’s smile is bright, and Ashlynn calls her scar “a battle wound with an incredible story.”

💛 A mother’s love doesn’t just give life once — sometimes, it gives it twice.
