Dannii Minogue, 52, known for her roles in Australian TV and the music industry, recently revealed she identifies as queer, fighting back tears as she shared her truth. Following her sister Kylie’s path, she found fame in music with hits like ‘Love and Kisses’ and ‘Baby Love’, also judging on shows like The X Factor UK and Australia’s Got Talent.
Minogue’s personal life includes two engagements, first to actor Julian McMahon and later to Formula 1 champ Jacques Villeneuve, both ending before marriage. She’s been with musician Adrian Newman for a decade.
Recently, Minogue made waves in TV with shows like I Kissed a Boy, a groundbreaking gay dating show, and its lesbian spin-off, I Kissed a Girl. Speaking on their importance, she said, “I think so many people have been wanting a gay dating show… I think a lot of people wanted it, but it just wasn’t happening.”
At the launch of I Kissed A Girl, Minogue expressed her identification as queer and praised the contestants’ bravery, saying, “You girls are so brave and amazing… You’re stepping forward, and you’re the first crew of girls representing in this space, and it is big.”
