Love can test patience — but for one woman, it literally involves a lie detector.
For years, Debbi Wood from the U.K. has been called “the world’s most jealous woman.” Her story stunned viewers when she revealed that her husband, Steve, must take a polygraph test every time he walks through the door. “It’s the only way I can feel calm,” Debbi admitted softly.
Her jealousy started long before they lived together. After learning that Steve once dated someone else, Debbi’s trust shattered. From there, her rules grew stricter — she even blocked his TV and phone from showing images of women. “One night, an advert for a women’s razor came on TV, and I panicked,” she recalled. “I banned any programs with women in them.”

Doctors later diagnosed Debbi with Othello Syndrome, a rare delusional disorder that causes obsessive jealousy and fear of infidelity. She admits, “I’ve put Steve through a lot, but he’s stood by me through it all.”
Despite the challenges, Steve remains devoted. “She’s my soulmate,” he said simply. “A little jealousy won’t change that.”
Some call it obsession. Others see unconditional love fighting a cruel illness. But it leaves one haunting question — how far would you go to prove love and trust?
