Some love stories sound too wild to be true — and this one began on a bachelorette weekend.
When Tarlie Silva, 27, from Virginia, headed to North Carolina for her hen party, she never imagined meeting her future husband. During the trip, a man named Julio joined their group by chance — a friend of a friend, just “third wheeling,” as she put it. They barely spoke, but when Tarlie later sent a photo of her wedding invitation, Julio jokingly said he might come.

To her surprise, he did. At the reception, he danced with her mother and grandmother, instantly winning over everyone in the room. Tarlie and Julio exchanged only small talk that night — but fate wasn’t finished with them yet.
Just six weeks later, Tarlie’s marriage fell apart. Months after, Julio reached out on Snapchat. “We realized we had so much in common,” she said. “We met halfway in Virginia Beach… and we’ve been together ever since.”

The two married in 2021 and now share two beautiful sons. Looking back, Tarlie smiles softly. “If I’d called off that first wedding, I never would’ve met him,” she said.
Sometimes, the wrong story has to happen first — so the right one can finally begin.
