Group of men and women aged between 70-100 all have similar answer when asked their biggest regret

When you talk to people who’ve lived nearly a century, their words tend to stop you in your tracks.

A TikTok creator named Yair has spent time interviewing men and women in their 70s, 80s, and 90s — asking them one simple question: What do you regret most? The answers, gathered from dozens of conversations, all seemed to echo the same truth.

One 79-year-old woman admitted that money helps, but “it doesn’t guarantee joy.” Another man explained, “We waste our youth chasing big houses and shiny cars, only to realize later that none of it matters.” He said the real treasures are love, friendships, and health — things you can’t buy.

A couple who sold everything to live on a boat said they’ve never felt freer. “We thought we’d miss all our stuff,” the woman shared. “But we don’t — not even a little.” And a 93-year-old man confessed his biggest heartbreak was outliving his friends and his wife. “I still go places,” he said quietly, “but there’s no one left to tell about it.”

Their words are simple — yet they remind us of something we often forget: in the end, it’s not what you own, but who you love, that counts.
