An Australian social media creator has shared the unusual reason she is currently homeless, despite earning thousands of dollars online. Emily Webb, 25, is based on the Gold Coast and runs a successful OnlyFans account with more than 100,000 followers. Even with steady income, she says she has been unable to secure a rental during the nationwide housing shortage.
Emily told news.com.au she has applied for several properties and even offered to pay six or twelve months of rent upfront, with a budget of about $1,000 a week. She says nothing has worked. For now, she rotates between sleeping in her car, staying with friends, or spending the night with men she meets while dating.

On Instagram, she joked that she had spent years paying rent without realizing she could live differently. She told followers she had just left a man’s place because he “had things to do,” and added that people on dating apps were giving her a hard time about not having a fixed address.
To find her next place to sleep, she said she planned to get ready and take a walk at Burleigh in hopes of meeting someone new. If that failed, she would return to her car, which she insists is comfortable enough for the night.
Emily admits she has been relying on her looks and confidence to secure places to stay over the past two weeks. She still hopes to find a permanent home soon and is waiting for responses to several rental applications.
