Some people find healing in quiet moments, and others find it in bold choices. For Quest Gulliford, a cancer survivor, his healing came through ink — thousands of dollars’ worth of it. His journey has now captured millions online, thanks to his striking full-body tattoos and even tattooed eyeballs.

Quest began getting tattoos in 2009 after beating Hodgkin’s Lymphoma as a young teen. Each design marked a step in his recovery, from a simple cross reading “God First” to a purple ribbon honoring his cancer battle. Over time, those small moments of strength grew into a full body of artwork that made him feel alive again.
The turning point came when he decided to tattoo his eyes, a choice he had dreamed about for years. He shared the process on TikTok, explaining how much mental preparation it took to face the needle. Even with the risks, he says the result still makes him happy every single day.

His eye tattoos alone cost $10,000, with a needle injecting ink around all sides of his eyeballs. Quest admits the procedure felt more like a body modification than a regular tattoo. And despite everything, he plans to return next month to add even more ink.
Not everyone in his life agreed with his choices, especially his mother. She accepted the early designs but grew worried as the tattoos became larger and bolder. Still, Quest followed the path that gave him joy and helped him define himself after cancer.

His story reminds us that healing looks different for everyone. Sometimes the things that make us whole are the things that make us stand out.
