Emma Watson has revealed that one particular Harry Potter moment drew an unusually large crowd to the set — and it’s the scene she still finds the most uncomfortable to remember.
Watson, best known for playing Hermione Granger throughout all eight Harry Potter films, grew up on screen alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint. The trio formed a deep, family-like bond over the decade they spent filming together, something Watson has often described with affection. Their connection became especially clear during the franchise’s 20th-anniversary reunion, where Grint openly told her, “I love you… as friends,” prompting laughter and a heartfelt exchange.

But despite their closeness, Watson admits there was one moment she dreaded: Hermione and Ron’s long-awaited kiss in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
Looking back, she described the scene as “the most horrible thing” she ever had to film — not because she disliked Grint, but because kissing someone she viewed as a sibling felt deeply awkward. She explained that closing her eyes during the moment helped, but the instant they had to look at each other, the discomfort returned.

The cast also recalled how the kiss quickly became a behind-the-scenes spectacle. Even Radcliffe confessed he teased them, joking that he planned to watch, which only made the situation more embarrassing.
Watson summed it up simply: everyone wanted to be there, knowing how strange the moment would feel for two people who had grown up like brother and sister.
