Katy Bampton thought she had a straightforward life. She worked in childcare. She babysat for a comfortable, “normal” couple. Then they invited her on a trip in 2020 and promised a fun night out.
Instead, Katy walked into a swinging party that blurred every boundary she thought she had. Alcohol flowed. Drugs entered the mix. And the energy of the room pulled her along faster than she could process. At first, she told herself she felt free. However, the next morning brought a different feeling. She felt used, confused, and wide awake to how easily “adult fun” can slip into something risky.

After that, Katy drifted deeper into the scene. She attended more parties. She met a partner who lived that lifestyle full-time. She even helped host large events. Yet over time, she noticed a painful pattern. Many women chased confidence through chemicals. They numbed shame instead of addressing it. They chased connection without real safety.
So Katy changed direction. First, she went sober at events. Next, she stepped away altogether. Then she started doing the slower work—therapy, retreats, and honest reflection.

Today, she speaks about body respect, consent, and choice. She built a “School of Sensuality” to help women reconnect with themselves without shortcuts.
Her lesson is simple. Curiosity is normal. But your boundaries deserve protection—especially when someone else writes the invitation.
