British influencer Lewis Stevenson, 26, tragically fell to his death while climbing Spain’s tallest bridge for an Instagram post. Despite his family’s repeated warnings, he slipped from the 630ft Castilla La Mancha Bridge on Sunday morning.
His grandfather, Clifford Stevenson, 70, said the family had often begged him to stop his dangerous stunts. Lewis, who earned no money from his climbs, simply loved adventure and always believed nothing would go wrong.

His girlfriend, Savannah Parker, 25, said he had flown to Spain on Friday and was due home Monday. Their final words were “Good night, I love you,” followed by a “Good morning” message she read too late.
Spanish officials confirmed Lewis was climbing with a 24-year-old friend when he slipped about 50 metres up—roughly a quarter of the bridge’s height. His body was found at 7:14 a.m., and police are still investigating the cause of his fall.

Authorities stressed that climbing the bridge is strictly forbidden. Investigators think rain may have made the surface slick, while Savannah said Lewis’s friend reported he felt unwell, lost consciousness, and then fell—a heartbreaking end to his fearless passion.
