Victoria Jones, the 34-year-old daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, was found dead in the early hours of January 1 at the Fairmont San Francisco Hotel, according to reports. What first appeared to be a medical emergency has since left unanswered questions.

Emergency crews were called shortly before 3 a.m. after a report of a woman in severe distress. Victoria was found unresponsive, and lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said there were no signs of foul play, but the cause of death has not been confirmed.

Audio from the emergency dispatch later indicated the incident was treated as a suspected overdose and included the term “color change,” which can suggest a lack of oxygen. Victoria was reportedly discovered in a public area of the hotel rather than inside a private room. A guest alerted staff, who then contacted emergency services. No obvious drugs, paraphernalia, or signs of trauma were reported at the scene.
The medical examiner is now leading the investigation, with toxicology tests expected to clarify what happened. Until results are released, her death remains officially undetermined.
Victoria had early links to Hollywood, including a small role in Men in Black II (2002) alongside her father. She also appeared in One Tree Hill (2003) and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005), a film directed by Tommy Lee Jones. In later years, she largely stayed out of the spotlight.

The family has not issued a public statement.
