Death during ICE action
ICE officers went to Minneapolis during a White House crackdown.
However, events escalated on January 7 during “targeted operations.”
The Department of Homeland Security said Good was a US citizen.
It claimed she “weaponized her vehicle” and tried to run over an ICE officer.
DHS said the officer “fired defensive shots,” and Good was fatally injured.

Child left behind
Metro reports Good was mom to a six-year-old child.
The child is believed to be orphaned after his father died in 2023.
Mother’s emotional words
Good’s mother, Donna Ganger, spoke to the Minnesota Star Tribune.
“Renee was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known.
“She was extremely compassionate. She’s taken care of people all her life. She was loving, forgiving and affectionate. She was an amazing human being.”
Ganger said Good was “probably terrified” before her death.
She also called the shooting “stupid.”

Protests and Trump post
Her death sparked protests calling for ICE to leave Minneapolis.
Ganger said Good was “not part of anything like that at all.”
Still, President Donald Trump called Good “a professional agitator.”
“I have just viewed the clip of the event which took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is a horrible thing to watch.
“The woman screaming was, obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense.”
Mayor rejects claim
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey rejected the claim, per The Hill.
“Having seen the video myself, I want to tell everybody directly, that is bullsh*t,”
“This was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody dying, getting killed.”
Frey later said ICE should “get the f**k out of Minneapolis.”
