Authorities released new details about the ICE agent who killed a U.S. citizen in Minneapolis. The shooting happened on January 7 during a large immigration crackdown.
Tragic Incident Unfolds
ICE agent Jonathan Ross shot 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good last week. The Trump administration recently sent 2,000 agents to the Minneapolis area. Mayor Jacob Frey said these agents are ripping families apart. He claimed the agent used his power recklessly during the event.

Conflicting Video Evidence
Footage shows several officers approaching Good’s SUV in the street. She put the car in reverse to drive away from them. Then, an agent fired at least two shots at the driver. The vehicle lost control and crashed into a parked car later.
Federal Leaders Respond
President Trump defended the shooter and called for protecting law enforcement. Also, JD Vance stated that the officer acted in self-defense. He shared a video showing the car moving toward the agent. “The reality is that his life was endangered and he fired in self defence.”
Agent Background Revealed
Jonathan Ross has worked as an ICE deportation officer for ten years. He is a firearms trainer and served on a special response team. However, this is not his first incident involving a vehicle. Last June, a car reportedly injured Ross during a different arrest.

Family Remembers Renee
Good was a mother of three and a kind human being. Her mother, Donna Ganger, described her as loving and very compassionate. “She was loving, forgiving, and affectionate.” Meanwhile, her former father-in-law called the shooting a murder.
