The Fatal Encounter
ICE agent Jonathan Ross shot Renee Good on 7 January. She was a mother of three and a poet.
She was monitoring an ICE operation in Minnesota. Now, new footage shows the moments before the shooting.
A New Perspective
Timmy Macklin is the father of Renee’s late husband. He spoke to CNN about the video.
Macklin said he does not blame the agent. He saw a car bumper hit the legs of the agent.
“I’m not blaming anybody.”
“I’ve seen the bumper of the car hitting his legs. And so in a flash like that, it’s hard to say how you would react.”

Differing Family Views
Macklin supports Donald Trump. He believes Renee made bad choices that day.
“I think there’s some bad choices… if we’re walking in the spirit of God, I don’t think she would have been there.”
However, Renee’s widow Becca wants to honor her memory. She asks people to reject hate and choose peace.

Calls for Change
Renee’s mother, Donna Ganger, described her as a devoted mother. She was full of heart and loved her community.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump spoke to Renee’s father. He called Renee a solid person but said her actions were tough.
Finally, Macklin criticized the agent for using foul language after the shot. He thinks the agent needs the Bible.
“His statement that he made after the incident… that’s definitely showing evidence that he don’t know the Lord like he should.”
