John Mellencamp shared a serious update about his daughter Teddi Mellencamp’s health.
Singer John Mellencamp, 74, spoke about his daughter on the Joe Rogan Experience. He said Teddi Mellencamp is “really sick” during her cancer battle. The update came more than three months after Teddi shared positive scan results.

“I do have a daughter that’s really sick. It’s not f**king fun,”
“She’s got cancer in the brain and she’s suffering right now.”
However, Teddi, 44, first received a melanoma diagnosis in 2022. In April 2025, she revealed the cancer reached stage four. Doctors said it had spread to her lungs and brain. She previously had 17 melanomas removed from her back.

Later, in October, Teddi shared an update on her iHeartRadio podcast Two T’s in a Pod. She said scans showed no detectable cancer at that time.
“Just to give a little life update to you guys, I had my immunotherapy yesterday and they did my scans and at this point there is no detectable cancer.”
Still, she said treatment continued.
“I still need to be on immunotherapy for another year and I’m not considered in remission or anything like that.”

Meanwhile, Teddi underwent emergency brain surgery in February 2025. She later received radiation and immunotherapy. She has continued to share updates with fans during treatment.
Finally, the Daily Mail contacted representatives for Teddi and John Mellencamp for comment.
