Police Dispatch Audio Reveals New Details in the Disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s Mother

The disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, has become increasingly alarming. The 84-year-old vanished from her Arizona home late Saturday night. Family members raised the alarm the next morning when they could not reach her and found her home undisturbed but empty.

Investigators believe Nancy went missing sometime after 10 p.m. Saturday. Her phone and Apple Watch were later found inside the house, suggesting she did not leave willingly. This narrow overnight window is now the main focus of the investigation.

New details from police dispatch audio revealed serious health concerns. Nancy has heart problems, high blood pressure, and relies on a pacemaker and daily medication. Her pacemaker stopped syncing with her devices around 2 a.m. Sunday, leading authorities to believe she was taken out of range at that time. Being without her medication could quickly become life-threatening.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office now believes Nancy was taken against her will. Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed this is no longer treated as a routine missing-person case but a criminal investigation. Savannah has traveled to Arizona and publicly asked for prayers, while police urge anyone with information to come forward as time remains critical.
