Pilot Dies After Gender Reveal Stunt Ends In Plane Crash In Front Of Guests

A gender reveal celebration in Mexico ended in tragedy after a small plane used for the event crashed in front of family and friends.

The incident happened on September 2 in San Pedro, Sinaloa. Guests had gathered to watch a planned aerial stunt as part of the celebration. The aircraft flew over the crowd and released pink smoke, signaling the couple was expecting a baby girl.

Moments later, the plane lost control. Witnesses reported that one wing appeared to fail, sending the aircraft into a rapid spiral. The plane crashed into a nearby field, shocking those in attendance. Some guests did not immediately realize what had happened and continued cheering.

The pilot, Luis Ángel N, was found trapped in the wreckage. Emergency services were called, and he was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Sadly, he later died from his injuries.

The accident has renewed concerns about risky stunts used during gender reveal parties. While many events are harmless, authorities and safety experts continue to warn that elaborate displays can lead to serious accidents. The focus, they say, should always remain on safety rather than spectacle.
