Inside Mariska Hargitay’s $8.7 Million NYC Home Where She Lives with Husband & Kids: ‘It’s Happy Chaos’

Mariska Hargitay, celebrated for her role in “Law and Order: SVU,” shares an enduring love story with husband Peter Hermann, evolving from their meeting on set in 2001. Their journey, marked by laughter and tears, led to a 2004 wedding and the birth of their son August in 2006.

Hargitay, with a thriving TV career, invested in notable NYC properties. Currently residing in an $8.7 million Upper West Side townhouse, the family enjoys the six-story haven. The first floor boasts a modern kitchen, a cozy den, and access to a serene garden, offering a perfect escape.

Adding to their joy, Hargitay and Hermann welcomed adopted children Amaya and Andrew in 2011. Despite facing challenges in the adoption process, Hargitay embraces motherhood as a central part of her life, crediting her children as her teachers.

Balancing work and family, Hargitay finds solace in her home, calling it her “happy place.” Describing her family as a “happy, joyful, chaotic, and crazy unit,” she emphasizes the significance of teamwork with Hermann, creating a harmonious and beautiful life together.
