Woman dies from dementia aged 31 as siblings speak out about early warning signs

The family of Gemma Illingworth is speaking out after she died from Posterior Cortical Atrophy at age 31.

Illingworth was diagnosed at 28 after experiencing vision problems and difficulty reading and recognizing objects.

The condition gradually caused her to lose the ability to see, speak, swallow, and walk.

Her siblings later ran the London Marathon to raise awareness and support for people affected by rare dementia conditions.
