Every citizen who could be drafted if the US goes to war

If a military draft were ever reinstated, it would follow an organized system, not chaos. The Selective Service would begin with eligible men, typically starting with those around age 20, chosen through a lottery system. From there, other age groups could be included if needed.

Not everyone would be sent to serve. Medical conditions, family situations, education, and certain jobs could lead to exemptions or deferments. Some individuals might serve in support roles instead of combat.

Currently, no draft is in place. However, the system remains ready if ever required.
