My Greedy Mother-in-Law Ate My Dinner & Made a Facebook Post Instead of Apologizing

A woman shared her frustration on Reddit after her mother-in-law ate her dinner and posted on Facebook instead of apologizing. She explained that during family dinners at her house, she served everyone, leaving her own portion in the kitchen while she attended to some laundry.

Upon returning, she discovered her portion was gone. Her mother-in-law admitted, “she wanted some more,” and her plate was piled with meatballs. Shocked, the woman considered getting fast food, assuming her mother-in-law was extremely hungry.

Later, her mother-in-law asked for a container to take the remaining food home, which was meant for the woman’s dinner. The woman refused, explaining she didn’t want leftovers, and gave her the container. When her husband found out, he texted his mom, asking her to apologize. Instead, she criticized the woman, claiming she should have cooked more.

The mother-in-law then posted on social media, portraying the woman as a bad hostess. Despite feeling hormonal and unreasonable due to pregnancy, the woman received overwhelming support online. Many agreed that her mother-in-law was rude for expecting leftovers.
