When Lexie’s in-laws, Jessica and Roger, lost their home after Roger lost his job, Lexie’s mother, Tanya, kindly allowed them to stay in her house. Initially, they contributed by cooking and maintaining the property. However, things soured as they started complaining about Tanya’s use of the first floor, where she lived due to being wheelchair-bound. They even hinted she should move to a nursing home.
Tanya decided to teach them a lesson. She pretended to agree with their suggestion and called social services, informing them that she needed more care and that the in-laws required new accommodations. The next day, social services relocated Jessica and Roger to a small apartment.
When confronted, Tanya firmly stated, “You took advantage of her kindness and tried to push her into a nursing home. You got what you deserved.” The in-laws eventually apologized, admitting, “We saw an easy way to live with Tanya, and we just wanted more.” Cameron and Lexie, despite everything, still cared for them and made peace, realizing they needed to stand by their family.
