A store assistant insulted my wife, Emma, by saying she wasn’t “pretty enough” to work in their lingerie store. Emma, who has always had a passion for fashion, was devastated by the remark. “I just wanted to apply for a job. I didn’t deserve that,” she sobbed. Seeing her hurt, I knew I had to take action.
A few days later, I returned to the store with my friend Mike, a talent scout in the fashion industry. I asked the assistant for help choosing a gift, and she eagerly showed me various items. Mike then arrived and pretended to scout for new talent, subtly insulting the assistant by saying, “I’m sorry, but I don’t think you quite fit what we’re looking for.”
When Mike turned to me, asking if I had ever considered modeling, I responded, “No, but I do have someone in mind—my wife, Emma. She’s stunning, confident, and absolutely beautiful inside and out.” The assistant was left speechless.
Although Emma didn’t pursue modeling, the experience boosted her confidence. A week later, we walked past the store, and I asked if she wanted to go inside. Emma laughed and said, “I’ve had enough of that store for a lifetime!” Sometimes, the best revenge is helping your loved ones see their true worth.
