Fans of the hit sitcom New Girl are mourning the loss of actor Peter Navy Tuiasosopo, who tragically passed away at age 61 due to heart complications. His son, Manoah Peter Tuiasosopo, confirmed the news on Facebook, writing, “My dad lived an amazing life and in no way does his impact stop here.”
Tuiasosopo, born in San Pedro, California, was known for his role as Big Bob and Steve in New Girl’s ‘Bathtub’ episode. He was also famous for portraying E. Honda in Street Fighter (1994) and appeared in Batman & Robin, The Fast and the Furious, and Magnum P.I. (2021), his final credited role.

Fans have taken to social media to express their grief. One wrote, “Rest in peace and well wishes to the family and loved ones.” Another added, “Prayers for his family.”
Remembered as a “trailblazer for Polynesian actors in Hollywood,” Tuiasosopo leaves behind a lasting legacy. His family plans to announce details for a Celebration of Life soon.
