Chilling Words Teenager Told Police After Being Arrested For Allegedly Killing 17-Year-Old At Track Meet

A tragic incident at a Texas track meet ended with the death of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf, a promising football player, who was fatally stabbed during a brief altercation.

Austin and his twin brother, Hunter, were at Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco on April 2 when a dispute began over seating. “We asked him to move,” Hunter said. “He started getting aggressive… My brother stepped in and said, ‘You need to move,’ and [Anthony’s] like, ‘Make me move.’” Moments later, the teen allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed Austin in the chest.

Hunter tried to save his brother. “I looked at my brother and I’m not going to talk about the rest. I tried to help him,” he told WFAA. Austin later died at the hospital.

The suspect, Karmelo Anthony, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. According to the affidavit, he admitted: “I’m not alleged, I did it,” and claimed self-defense.

“He died in his brother’s arms,” said their father Jeff. “This is murder.” He added, “You know what, I already forgive this person… God is going to take care of my family.”
