A Love That Changed Everything
Michael J. Fox met Tracy Pollan on the set of Family Ties, and their connection quickly turned into a lifelong partnership. They married in 1988, just a year before Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at age 29. When he broke the news, Tracy simply said, “In sickness or in health.”

Fox initially turned to alcohol to cope with his diagnosis. One morning, he expected Tracy to be angry—but she just looked tired. “I wasn’t angry, I was kind of feeling done,” she admitted.
