The Accident
In 2019, Loren Schauers, 21, from Montana, was crushed by a forklift after falling 50 feet off a bridge. The accident destroyed the lower half of his body and one arm. He chose to undergo a hemicorperectomy — an operation removing everything below the waist — to survive.
Life After Tragedy
Loren now shares his life with wife Sabia on YouTube, where they have over 540,000 subscribers. He posted a shocking photo of the accident, saying, “If you look closely… you can see me still pinned under the forklift!”

Answering Personal Questions
The couple openly addresses questions about Loren’s condition. Loren explained: “A colostomy… is how I poop. I have bilateral nephrostomies… that drain my kidneys into bags.” Sabia added, “He’s amputated below the waist. If that doesn’t answer your question, Google hemicorporectomy.”
Love and Strength
Despite the trauma, Loren and Sabia grew stronger. “It has made us more appreciative of the little things,” she said. They married in 2021 and continue to inspire others through honesty and resilience.
