Melania Trump has rarely been seen at the White House since her husband’s second inauguration as the 47th President. Over 108 days, she’s reportedly spent less than 14 days there — and possibly even less.
Though she made brief appearances, including at Pope Francis’ funeral, the White House Easter Egg Roll, and a military moms ceremony, her absence has sparked questions. Her rare speech in March addressed the dangers of “revenge porn” and AI-generated abuse, advocating for young women.

Despite tradition, Melania reportedly lives in Trump Tower with their son, Barron. She explained, “I have everything. I have plans… the furniture… it’s very different this time.” Yet she admitted the White House was a “challenging” place to live during Trump’s first term.
When asked about her role, Melania said, “I am standing on my own two feet… I have my own yes and no.”
Though she promises to serve as First Lady, it’s clear she’s choosing her moments — and her locations — carefully.
