Elon Musk has reignited tensions with Donald Trump, claiming on X: “@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files.” Musk suggested this was why the files haven’t been fully released, adding, “The truth will come out.” The documents, tied to the Ghislaine Maxwell case, contain no allegations against Trump.
Trump responded on Truth Social, accusing Musk of going “crazy” after losing government contracts. He claimed Musk’s EV mandates were unpopular and vowed to cut his subsidies. Musk replied: “Such an obvious lie. So sad.”

Musk escalated things further by saying SpaceX would begin shutting down its Dragon spacecraft. He also mocked Trump with past posts, questioned his identity, and pinned a poll asking if it’s time for a new political party.
After Trump’s remarks, Tesla stock dropped 9%. Musk ended with a sharp jab: “Without me, Trump would have lost the election.” He followed up: “Such ingratitude.”
This public feud shows no signs of cooling as Musk challenges both power and party lines.
