Trisha Yearwood Debuts Timeless New Ballad At CMT Music Awards

Trisha Yearwood made a triumphant comeback at the CMT Music Awards after five years. The renowned singer not only performed but also received the inaugural June Carter Cash Humanitarian Award for her extensive philanthropic efforts.

Recognizing her commitment to community service and supporting fellow artists, the award highlights Yearwood’s dedication to causes like Habitat for Humanity and her own nonprofit, Dottie’s Yard, which aids animals in need. She’s also involved with various cancer foundations and music education initiatives.

During the ceremony, Yearwood premiered her latest single, “Put It In A Song,” from her upcoming album, marking a significant moment as she co-wrote every track. Overcoming past criticism about her songwriting abilities, Yearwood found newfound confidence, stating, “I’ve let it be true, but not anymore.”

Reflecting on her journey, she shared, “I’m always nervous when I go, but I get a little less nervous every time. It’s just been really good. I’m so excited about it.”
