Cher turned heads in New York City as she supported her close friend Mariska Hargitay at the premiere of My Mom Jayne: A Film by Mariska Hargitay. The heartfelt documentary, shown at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival, honors Hargitay’s late mother, Hollywood star Jayne Mansfield.
At 79, Cher made a rare red carpet appearance on June 13, dazzling in a cropped leather jacket with playful cartoon graphics, wide-leg pants, and bold pink makeup. Her iconic long hair, styled in soft curls and bangs, completed the striking look.

On the red carpet, Cher stood by Hargitay, 61, celebrating the emotional film about Mansfield’s life and tragic death. Mansfield, a beloved 1950s actress, died in a car crash in 1967 when Hargitay was just three years old but miraculously survived.
Hargitay has called the documentary “a tribute and a connection” to her late mom. With Cher’s loyal support, the premiere was both a glamorous and touching moment for the Law & Order star.
