Donald Trump has sparked alarm by sharing a private message from US ambassador Mike Huckabee on Truth Social. In the text, Huckabee calls Trump the “most consequential president in a century — maybe ever” and claims God spared him from an assassination attempt to handle the Iran-Israel crisis.
Since June 13, Israeli strikes have killed at least 224 people, while Iran’s missiles have claimed 24 lives and injured over 500, according to AP News. Huckabee’s message urges Trump to listen only to “HIS voice” and promises unwavering loyalty: “I will not abandon this post. Our flag will NOT come down!”
Trump proudly posted the exchange on Tuesday, praising Huckabee as a pastor, politician, ambassador, and “great person.” However, many social media users were outraged. One X user called it “one of the most pathetic things I’ve read,” while another slammed the religious undertone: “In what world would Jesus Christ encourage war? Shame on you.”
The leaked message has intensified debate over Trump’s influence and the ambassador’s devotion.
