Hollywood icon Al Pacino made a rare stop at the Vatican, meeting Pope Leo XIV in a private audience on June 17, 2025. The meeting, arranged with producer Andrea Iervolino, was part of the promotion for Pacino’s upcoming film Maserati: The Brothers.
Iervolino shared on Instagram, “His Holiness Pope Leo XIV received… a delegation from the film… including Oscar winner Al Pacino… The meeting was a moment of profound spiritual and cultural inspiration.” He described how the film’s themes of family, love, and compassion echo the Pope’s core messages.

Pacino flew from New York to Rome to film his role as Vincenzo Vaccaro. While big names like Anthony Hopkins and Jessica Alba were absent from the visit, Pacino’s presence made headlines worldwide.
Fans couldn’t help but comment on Pacino’s aging looks, with many expressing sadness to see their hero growing older. Despite this, excitement remains high for the star-studded Maserati film, currently shooting in Italy.
