Fitness influencer Gloria Zamora, 40, was tragically shot and killed on June 21 outside a sushi restaurant in Fontana, California. She was on a date with Hector Garduno, 43, who was also fatally wounded. Together, they leave behind 11 children — Zamora had seven, Garduno had four.
Zamora, known for inspiring moms through her fitness content on Instagram, had over 165,000 followers. Behind the scenes, she was navigating a difficult divorce. Authorities later confirmed that the shooter was her ex-husband, 45-year-old Tomas Lizarraga, who had reportedly been stalking her.

An off-duty police officer nearby heard the gunshots and quickly intervened, fatally shooting Lizarraga at the scene. “He heard the gunfire, made a U-turn, got out, and confronted the suspect,” said Officer Steve Reed of the Fontana Police Department.
A GoFundMe campaign has since raised over $35,000 to support Zamora’s children. She is remembered as an uplifting figure, while Garduno was described as hardworking. The investigation is ongoing, but the devastating loss has left a lasting impact on both families and her online community.
