Georgia-Leigh Gardiner, 28, first noticed stomach pain in late 2024. Despite nausea, vomiting, and rapid weight loss, her doctors repeatedly dismissed her symptoms. “I wasn’t being taken seriously,” she said. After up to nine visits, she finally saw a GP who listened. That visit led to a shocking diagnosis in June 2025: stage 4 linitis plastica, a rare and aggressive stomach cancer. “I said, ‘Am I going to die? I can’t die, I have a two-year-old son.’”

Now facing a terminal illness, Georgia-Leigh is focused on creating lasting memories with her son, Arlo. “I don’t ever want him to forget who I am,” she shared. She and her fiancé, Callum, have moved their wedding to September. “I’ve got my dress… it’s a romantic style dress. And definitely ivory, not white.”

She starts chemotherapy mid-July and may qualify for a clinical trial. “I’m full of fight,” she said. She’s also exploring holistic options and considering treatment in Germany.

Supporters have raised over $9,500. Georgia-Leigh now urges others: “Trust your instincts… push for more tests.”
