A 17-year-old Georgia girl, Sarah Patrick, has been arrested and charged as an adult for allegedly killing her mother and stepfather. The victims, Kristin and James Brock, were found shot multiple times in their Carroll County home on February 20. Sarah’s 6-year-old sister, who was also home, discovered the bodies and called for help.

Authorities say James Brock, 45, had ongoing health issues and was possibly awaiting a heart transplant. Despite his struggles, he was described as resilient—until his life was “cut short” by violence. Kristin Brock, 41, was remembered as a strong and loving mother.

Sarah faces two counts of murder and aggravated assault. Police are investigating whether others may have helped her after the incident. Officials also revealed Sarah initially withheld information during questioning.

Before her arrest, Sarah gave an emotional eulogy at her parents’ funeral. She praised them as loving role models and thanked those supporting her. Her biological father later turned her in to authorities. The investigation is still ongoing.
